About Me: Personal Information Continued

Aside from being an avid musician, I'm interested in writing to understand. It's almost always that I'm writing in one way or another; whether that be through songs, reflections, essays, or even poetry and prose. I have currently filled out 13 journals since the age of 8, which I keep for many reasons, yet ultimately nothing other than memories. Since I was young, I have also loved nature and the fact that there are four distinct seasons, with my absolute favourite being autumn. I feel like the season reflects the most of what I want for myself and others: healing, connection and growth, and it feels like that's when it becomes most readily possible.

Some Other Facts...

I have 3 guitars: two are acoustic (with one being acoustic-electric), and one is fully electric. The first is a Fender, the second is a Martin&Co. X-Series GPC X2E acoustic-electric, and the third is an Epiphone SG. Two of my guitars are featured on this website, as the background for the text and information I've made available on here. I play my Martin most frequently, as I love how it has built in tone-adjustment gears and a plug in receptor. But, it's hard to pick just one, as each guitar has tons of different memories associated with it.
A confession that I have to make, is that in terms of initial inspiration, my only musical influence is Taylor Swift... by choice. Maybe not entirely choice, but deliberately through looking for explanation, reassurance, and expression through music. I do listen to and have much respect for others artists, but Taylor is my only influence in the total sense. Whether that's necessarily good, I'm not sure, but that's how it's been for about 13 years now. :)

The first concert I ever saw at the age of 12 was Taylor Swift, at the 1989 World Tour in 2015. It's pretty safe to say that was the defining "best" moment of that entire year, and is still one of the best in my aresenal of memories. The only other concert I've been to was her Reputation Stadium Tour in 2018, again, in which the memories I have are very fond. It seems about right though, based on my last point.
I have a twin brother who's older than me by 45 minutes, and he's the person who initially taught me my first four chords on a nylon-string guitar (G, D, A, and C), before I took over learning it from YouTube and watching Taylor's live performances.
I have a sister who is 3 1/2 years younger.
My favourite course in high school was by far Vocal Music, but I also loved History, Philosophy, and English.
